"Alongside the commercial work they are known for, Services Généraux maintains a vital experimental practice. An annual space for more radical, personal explorations. Each year the studio produces a self-initiated project, forming a distinct creative lineage: Autoportrait (2018), Maison (2019), Oasis (2020), Boys (2021), 5G (2022) and Fashion Book (2023). Sisyphe continues this tradition, culminating in a dual 2026 release: a 2 years in the making short-film alongside a book to tell that story.
The myth of Sisyphus, both universal and sublime, is the perfect allegory for our reflections. It becomes the foundation of a story we wish to tell. Yet the story extends beyond the evocation of an ancient tale. It is rooted in experiences that feel both universal and familiar. It speaks to emotions we have all felt at one time or another. In our generation, these emotions are often sharpened by contemporary pressures: ecological, sanitary, demographic, social. It touches on humanity’s impact on its environment, the role of spiritual beliefs in collective well-being, the search for meaning in everyday life, and the persistent sense of futility that threads through modern existence."
The book is fully in English.
